MANAGEMENT
CHRIS WILSHIRE, MANAGER is an Honor Roll Student at Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Worth, Texas. His primary interests are farming and cattle ranching, hunting and fishing. He is actively involved in the daily operation of ROCKIN W. Chris presently intends to pursue an agribusiness degree in college, possibly in the Ranch Management studies with an emphasis in finance and accounting. Chris also has a keen interest in wildlife management and was named Youth Hunter of the Year by the Trophy Game Records of the World in 2001-2002. Chris was recently awarded the "TCU Texas Youth Enterpreneur of the Year" scholarship award by the Neeley Entrepreneurship Program at Texas Christian University. He also recently received the Eagle Scout designation. Chris will attend TCU in the fall, 2007.
Rick Wilshire is Chris's father and adult advisor. Rick has been involved in the livestock industry most of his life. He has raised cattle and horses and been involved in the registered quarter horse business for most of his life. Rick holds judging cards in several associations and has campaigned two world champions, three PHBA champions, and numerous World Show qualifiers.
BUSINESS ACTIVITIES
ROCKIN W is involved in the breeding and buying and selling of both registered and unregistered purebreed Black Angus cattle. Chris is a member of the American Angus Association, The Texas Angus Association, The American Quarter Horse Association, the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, and the Equine Scholarship Committee of the Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show. He maintains ranch locations in Newark, Godley, and Newcastle, Texas. Chris has expanded the activities of ROCKIN W to include pasture management, hunting food plot management, and wildlife management in addition to the occasional order buying and selling of livestock.
ROCKIN W is also involved in the registered quarter horse performance horse business with foundation bloodlines such as Doc Bar, Smart Little Lena, and Peppy San Badger breeding. Performance horses and prospects are always for sale.
